Steve Jobs Dies of Pancreatic Cancer: What Could Have Been Done to Save Him?

Posted on October 28th, 2011 by author  |  No Comments »

Steve Jobs, co-founder and former Apple CEO, succumbed to pancreatic cancer complications October 5, 2011. Jobs was a technological visionary and a creative genius who transformed the entire industry – indeed, his death was a severe blow to the modern world.

In an interview with Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, a natural cancer treatment expert, Dr. Joseph Mercola discusses possible approaches that Steve Jobs could have taken to prevent this tragedy.

The Dangers of Pancreatic Cancer

Dr. Mercola says there are two basic types of pancreatic cancer. Adenocarcinoma, the most aggressive form, develops in the cells that produce pancreatic enzymes, which help digest proteins, fats, and carbohydrates and eliminate toxins from your body. Dr. Gonzalez says this causes 95 percent of pancreatic cancers.

Dr. Gonzalez explains:

“Five percent are developed in the endocrine component of the pancreas. The pancreas not only produces enzymes, but also produces hormones like insulin and glucagon. Cancer can develop in the insulin or other hormone-producing cells, but it’s much less common. They tend to be a little less aggressive – the average survival for carcinoma of the enzyme-producing cells is probably three to six months.”

This latter, less aggressive version of pancreatic cancer, called islet cell carcinoma, is the type that Steve Jobs had.

Steve Jobs’ Cancer Treatment Options

Jobs was very secretive about his personal life and his illness. Dr. Mercola says he doesn’t know what specific cancer treatment he chose, other than an unnecessary liver transplant and rejection drugs.

Dr. Gonzalez states:

“He had a liver transplant in Memphis about two years ago. Again, he was very secretive about what was going on… [I]t must have meant he had a metastasis in the liver.

First, he had to be treated with immunosuppressants. Whenever you have a transplanted organ, your body will tend to reject it, so you have to suppress your immune system. That’s not good when you have a history of cancer, because immunosuppression can stimulate cancer growth since you’re suppressing your own immune ability to fight cancer.

So my assumption, having treated pancreatic cancer for over two decades, he probably had metastasis in the liver, and it was a somewhat desperate attempt to try to keep it under control, although it would be ultimately futile. There’s always the possibility of some kind of liver failure for reasons other than cancer that might have led him to a liver transplant, such as a medication reaction, hepatitis C from transfusion or something. But again, the reasons have never been publicly released, so we don’t know. But most likely, he had metastasis in the liver.”

Steve Jobs was doing everything he could, conventionally and alternatively, to fight his disease.  In fact, Jobs was seeing an acupuncturist who was very anxious for him to contact Dr. Gonzalez for advice.

Dr. Gonzalez’s Natural Cancer Therapy

Dr. Gonzalez has been treating cancer naturally for over 25 years, and has innovative therapies for this disease. His expertise on pancreatic cancer has been well-known, although these therapies can also be applied to all forms of cancer. Dr. Gonzalez’ program consists of three basic components:

  1. Individualized diet based on nutritional (metabolic) typing
  2. Individualized supplement program, which includes vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and pancreatic enzymes
  3. Detoxification, which includes coffee enemas and colon cleanses

Many of his pancreatic cancer patients are still alive and well today, living for as long as 20 years. This is something that conventional cancer treatment cannot achieve. Conventional therapies for pancreatic cancer only give the patient 12 to 18 months – still, many people are opting for them.

Other Famous Personalities Who Lost to Pancreatic Cancer

Jobs is not the only celebrity who turned to conventional cancer treatment options, which actually has a poor success rate. Actor Michael Landon consulted with Dr. Gonzalez, but unfortunately didn’t go through with the treatment.

Steve McQueen was another famous celebrity who battled pancreatic cancer. Dr. William Kelley, Dr. Gonzalez’s mentor, attempted to treat the actor, but it was too late – McQueen was already terminal when he sought Dr. Kelley’s treatment.

“He had failed radiation, failed immunotherapy. He had been misdiagnosed for a year. The reason he ended up with Stage 4 mesothelioma is because he was misdiagnosed by his fancy conventional doctors in Southern California. Then he was dying and he went to see Kelley. He died, and Kelley got all the blame—not the doctors who misdiagnosed him! In fact when you read the newspaper articles, there are still articles about how Dr. Kelley killed McQueen. No, cancer killed McQueen,” Dr. Gonzalez says.

Dr. Mercola says the sad truth is a conventional oncologist is treated as if he can do no wrong – he is called “hero” even if he fails. On the other hand, alternative practitioners, despite their success, are still considered quacks. If they fail, they are severely condemned and their failures are used against them and their practice.

It’s time to stop falling for conventional cancer therapies– they are a waste of money and will only put you in more danger  or, worse, kill you. Dr. Mercola recommends consulting with Dr. Gonzalez and, trying his natural alternatives. Recommend him to a family member or a friend diagnosed with cancer. You might be able to save a life.
